Role
Oversee, maintain and enhance the digital technologies and strategic technology partnerships for a fast-growing and highly acquisitive retail broker/dealer and federally-covered registered investment adviser (RIA) with a national footprint.
Position Objective, Typical Duties and Responsibilities
World Investment Advisors is seeking an experienced fintech platform manager to both improve the
advisor experience and to provide better insights to management. The position is recognized as the
single point of contact for all technology platform partnerships, including data management and
user experience and is responsible for the long-term technology roadmap for the firm. The Director
will be responsible for managing our technology partners by making recommendations for changes and
holding our technology partners accountable for such changes. (S)he will also be required to
interact with the most senior leaders at World Investment Advisors to incorporate their feedback,
keep them apprised of progress, and ultimately to help drive the company’s strategy.
The ideal candidate has experience creating a comprehensive advisor workstation that pulls together
multiple data sources, industry tools and systems to create an integrated & aggregated competitive
technology platform to recruit and retain seasoned financial advisors. The candidate needs to have
deep wealth management experience with multi-custodian clearing firms (i.e., Pershing, Schwab,
Fidelity), technology solutions, and data management. Solutions delivery experience as well as
technical and functional understanding of the advisor experience with a willingness to ‘roll-up
sleeves’ are a must. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement a unified technology and data management strategy for our advisors and end clients.
• Bring industry experience to make informed strategy decisions on table stakes technologies from contact management, client onboarding and servicing to financial planning, portfolio management and aggregated reporting.
• Manage significant technology vendor relationships and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork with vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
• Develop and maintain platform technology Standard Operating Procedures, training material; create and deliver training to back-office employees and advisors as needed.
• Continually assess systems for future growth and replacement to support business needs. Create business cases for furthering these efforts.
• Capture feedback from advisors, stakeholders, and key partners, translating into insights and recommendations for improving the technology ecosystem. Work closely with senior leadership to define and communicate the vision and roadmap for the technology platform.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and information security standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide status updates and progress updates to the World Investment Advisor’s executive team.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned while contributing proactively to the success of the team and adapting to evolving operational demands.
Position Requirements
• Extensive experience with wealth management technology. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing technology solutions for the wealth management industry. This experience includes expertise in areas such as data management, client reporting, portfolio management, client billing, contact management, client onboarding, and back-office tools.
• In depth knowledge of industry trends and best practices, as well as the ability to anticipate and adapt to future developments in a constantly evolving environment.
• Demonstrated technical experience with custodian partners, including Pershing, Schwab and Fidelity, client onboarding systems, client reporting systems (i.e., Envestnet and Tamarac), CRMs, and portfolio management software (i.e., Vestmark).
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service to advisors and key stakeholders.

• Securities licenses (i.e., Series 6, 7, 65, etc.) not required.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is expected to be between $100,000 - $135,000, but might be higher depending on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, etc.
