Position Summary
The President will report directly to the CEO and serve as a central force within the executive leadership team, leading World’s Retail business—a high-growth, $500M+ platform and Top 20 U.S. insurance brokerage. This role will operate as a true partner to the CEO, helping to accelerate enterprise growth, sharpen competitive positioning, and translate strategy into decisive execution.
As the senior leader of the Retail business, the President will own full P&L accountability and lead from the front as the organization scales into its next phase. This includes delivering strong financial performance while aggressively advancing organic growth, executing strategic M&A, and building a more integrated, high-performing enterprise.
The President will play a defining role in shaping how World wins in the market; unlocking new revenue streams, strengthening core capabilities, and creating meaningful differentiation. A critical component of this will be leading World through a generational, industry-defining technology transformation leveraging AI, data, and digital platforms to dramatically enhance service team capacity, producer productivity, modernize the client experience, and build a truly scalable operating model designed for the future.
Success will require deep partnership across the leadership team, driving alignment, accountability, and pace against the company’s highest priorities. The President will lead Practice Leaders, Division Leaders, and other senior executives, while continuing to elevate the organization’s leadership bench, infrastructure, and operating rigor ensuring World is built not just for continued growth, but for sustained market leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a bold, enterprise-wide strategy that aligns segment priorities with growth ambitions and unlocks new revenue across products, client segments, and distribution channels.
- Drive a high-velocity go-to-market engine that fuels organic growth through sharper sales discipline, increased producer productivity, and expanded cross-sell across regions and lines of business.
- Shape and scale core business segments (commercial, personal, private client, employee benefits, etc.), defining the strategies, structures, and leadership models needed to outperform.
- Embed data-driven leadership by leveraging advanced analytics, KPIs, and real-time dashboards to increase visibility, drive accountability, and accelerate decision-making.
- Continuously assess the landscape, identifying opportunities to capture and risks to mitigate at the Unit and Division level.
- Align leadership action with enterprise priorities, ensuring decisions consistently reinforce strategy and maximize performance outcomes.
- Take a hands-on role in elevating producer recruiting, helping to attract, select, and onboard top-tier talent that raises the bar across the firm.
- Set clear, differentiated performance expectations tailored to the unique dynamics of each business segment.
- Establish ambitious operational targets that push each segment to deliver against the enterprise plan and long-term vision.
- Relentlessly track and manage performance, stepping in decisively to course-correct and unlock results where needed.
- Lead disciplined, high-impact business reviews with Unit and Division leaders to drive focus, alignment, and execution.
- Operate with financial rigor, ensuring adherence to budgets while building a performance-driven culture with meaningful rewards and consequences.
- Advance a modern human capital strategy that strengthens core capabilities, reinforces values, and supports a high-performance environment.
- Inspire and lead from the front—building and developing a diverse, high-caliber leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth aligned to World’s strategic ambitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in business administration or related discipline preferred. Resident insurance broker license required.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience with a proven track record of success in P&L management roles within entrepreneurial and growth-oriented insurance brokerage environments.
- Experience leading transformational technology initiatives, championing innovation and the development of cutting-edge capabilities while driving the change management, adoption, and cultural alignment required to fully embed new tools and ways of working across the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high-performance, cohesive teams and foster a culture conducive to advancement and progress – a team builder and leader who can maximize the collective performance of a team that has diverse operations and geographies and bring relevant skills of each member to the benefit of the whole.
- Strong market profile and reputation with carriers, clients, and employees.
- Broad general management experience across various functions, including sales management, marketing, and operations, with a demonstrated ability to consistently deliver critical performance metrics (i.e., driving growth targets, improving margins, implementing systems/processes).
- Success in leading teams through organic growth, experience with M&A identification and vetting, acquisition integration, and the achievement of synergies.
- Proficiency in effective management within a leveraged environment, ideally within a private equity portfolio company.
- Experience leveraging technology, data, and digital capabilities to improve sales effectiveness and scale operations will be critical.
