Role and Responsibilities The Revenue Recovery Analyst is responsible for identifying, researching, and recovering missing premium and commission revenue to support accurate financial reporting and cash flow. This role works closely with internal accounting teams, field account teams, producers, commissions, and carrier partners to resolve unapplied, unidentified, or outstanding revenue items. The Revenue Recovery Analyst plays a key role in reconciliation, audit support, and continuous improvement of revenue recovery processes. This is a fully remote role, with office availability as desired in Iselin, NJ.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Identify and recover missing premium and commission revenue by reviewing carrier statements that do not have a corresponding deposit or receipt
Analyze internal reporting, reconciliation tools, and system data to identify carriers, policies, or transactions with missing or delayed anticipated payments.
Partner with field account teams to validate data accuracy and resolve discrepancies impacting revenue recovery.
Communicate directly with insurance carriers and brokers to research, locate, and resolve missing, unapplied, or unidentified funds, ensuring timely recovery and accurate allocation.
Collaborate with the commissions team and producers to investigate and resolve missing, short‑paid, or misapplied commission revenue.
Share best practices, tools, and effective solutions for deposit identification and statement retrieval with Direct Bill analysts to improve efficiency and consistency in recovery efforts.
Assist the Analyst team with reconciliation and revenue recovery activities during critical periods to support timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close.
Coordinate commission transfer requests with the StaffBoom team, ensuring proper execution, tracking, and documentation.
Prepare and maintain clear, organized documentation to support audits, compliance requests, and management reviews.
Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as requested by management in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Insurance industry experience preferred
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education/experience.
Proficiency in Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high volume and time sensitive transactions.
Ability to work independently and on a team
High degree of professional communication and tactful negotiation skills.
Knowledge of Applied Epic, Vertafore BenefitPoint, Comulate, and other direct bill reconciliation platforms a plus
