Financial Analyst

Accounting - Remote - Full Time

About Us:
World Insurance Associates is a rapidly growing insurance brokerage and wealth management company. Through our partnership with Private Equity investors, we have tripled the size of the firm over the last three years through a robust M&A strategy as well as solid organic growth.
We are seeking a strong Financial Analyst with 3-5 years of experience to handle our financial statement modeling (Income Statement and Cashflows) as well as provide support with compensation expense analysis.
Responsibilities:
  • Build/Maintain/Update the firm’s 5-year planning model, build out and expand on income statement and cashflow modeling as well as M&A projections.
  • Provide close support for our PE investors as well as senior leadership on any ad-hoc requests with regards to data needs or model changes.
  • Develop close relationships with key leaders within the organization, gather important information and inputs for modeling purposes.
  • Assist the Manager of FP&A with maintaining compensation data as well as written analysis on compensation expense changes vs budget and prior year.
  • Assist the greater FP&A team during key reporting cycles with insights into compensation expense drivers and themes.
  • Work Closely with HR during the budgeting cycle to gather compensation data.

Qualities we are looking for:
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling preferably with prior Private Equity exposure.
  • Self-starter with a very strong sense of initiative.
  • Very technically savvy, expert knowledge of advanced Excel functionality and Power Point.
  • Prior knowledge of NetSuite, Adaptive Planning and Power BI is a plus but not required.
  • Finance/Accounting/Economics degree, MBA/CFA/CPA a plus.
  • Ability to translate complicated financial concepts to a broader audience.
  • Strong communication skills as this role will expose you to senior leadership across the organization as well as our PE investors.
  • Ability to manage large data sets quickly and efficiently, attention to detail is a must.
