Position Summary The Broking Consultant is responsible for providing expert advice to clients, analyzing their insurance needs, and recommending suitable coverage options. This role is responsible for broking all lines of property & casualty insurance in an effort to increase the Company’s market share in commercial businesses and organizations through an in-depth knowledge of insurance risks and markets. Will also be responsible for leading the renewal, tender and prospecting processes
Primary Responsibilities
Perform the services of a Property and Casualty Insurance Broker for all lines of coverage
Advise and execute on the placement strategy of new and renewal P&C programs on behalf of existing and new clients in collaboration with the Client Advisor and service team.
Execute coverage placement strategy within required timeframe.
Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including structure, pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
Help with the development of new and innovative solutions for the Commercial Lines Practice
Develop, maintain, and expand strong, collaborative relationships with Trading Partners including direct insurance companies, intermediaries, and alternative risk facilities.
Aid in the development of Broking Associates and Specialists on the team, provide mentorship and guidance.
Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the team.
Execute corporate Trading Partner strategy and influence other team members to do same.
Possess knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis, facilitate delivering these resources to support client retention and new client acquisition.
Position Specific Skills/Qualifications Work Experience Required
8-10+ years’ experience in Commercial Property & Casualty with a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverages
Professional Licenses/Certifications Required
Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.

Education Required
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically is required every day, and walking and standing are required occasionally.

Compensation This position is located in New Jersey/NY Metro. The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $88,900 to $109,800. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
